Spring 2006 - Week 1-2

We're back! Week one was great. I can feel that this semester is going to be about learning, growth and coming into our own as instructional designers. I am determined to stay on track with the reading and assignments. The classes are great, they fit in with what we need to be focusing on to prepare fo rthe real world.

We're spending time reviewing our work from last semester, which at first seemed to be a nusiance, but actually gets the blood flowing and helps me to get my mind wrapped around the projects again. Basically, I hope this year we are able to really be allowed to get our flow going.

I believe we are all adults and should be treated as adults. I find it insulting to be asked if I am committed to the program as do my classmates. Most of us have quit jobs, have families and other responsibilities, and yet we are here. We are all adults and have made the decision to take this road. I believe we are all totally committed. It must be understood that, sometimes we may have issues that come up, which must be attended to by us. That does not negate our committment to the program. We should ALL be cognizant of each others feelings, trials and tribulations. We should honor our differences and be respectful to each other at all times. Stress can be triggered by the smallest things and we are here to accomplish something and in order to do that we must work together.

I am excited and can't wait to see the final project and graduation day! I know this semester will be a challenge, but it is worth it.

Peace & Blessing
